The Early Childhood Development Inventory and the Preschool Development Inventory are additional screening tools for young children.
They are both parent questionnaires that yield a “score” rather than “normal,” “borderline” or “delayed” in individual areas. They also do not have the Child Development Chart on the back side.
The Child Development Review Parent Questionnaire was developed to replace these two tools. We believe it is briefer, easier to use, and gets the same information in a shorter amount of time. The Chart on the back side is also great for parent education and anticipation.
The ECDI and PDI will remain available for those who have used it and loved it for years, and also for those who need to obtain a score in their screening.
