The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends developmental surveillance at all well-child visits and screening at the 9, 18 and 30 month visits. The Child Development Review System can help you follow these recommendations, and also make your visits smoother and more productive.
Use the Child Development Chart at every visit, and keep it on file and update it. You can also make a copy for parents to take home.
Use the Infant Development Inventory periodically up to 18 months to get you a “heads up” on the parent’s picture of their child.
Use the CDR - Parent Questionnaire periodically before toddler and preschooler visits, and find out even more about parent concerns and the child’s present development. By addressing parent concerns at the start of the visit, you avoid “doorknob” questions as the visit ends.
Finally, educate parents by hanging our popular Developmental Wall Charts in waiting and exam rooms.
The Health Care Starter Pack includes:
- 25 IDI Parent Questionnaires (instructions included)
- 25 CDR - Parent Questionnnaires
- CDR Manual
- 25 CDCs
- 2 Wall Charts of Child Development
